Rigging DG-505

Rigg - Right wing goes on first. Need wing-stand and 4 people.

  1. Jack up trailer - there are jacks near the rear of trailer wind these down to provide stable platform - DO NOT use the rear door - Handle should be in front of trailer

  2. unfold and pull out ramp - there is an extra length to guide the tail-wheel adjust height

  3. pull out fuselage - chock cradle

  4. locate red handle rigging tool for inserting aft wing pins screw on one pin - all these should be in black bag

  5. position right wing - insert aft wing pin - make sure locked

  6. repeat left wing

  7. insert main wing pins - have to juggle wings a little screw int main wing pin safetys

  8. put on stab - will need red tool to lock stab put trim/stick full forward to aid fitting stab there are line up marks under the stab nad vertical fin

  9. raise fueslage dolly and put gear down

  10. it is automatic control locks - and we ALWAYS do a poistive control check
    the wings are heavy - you need two on the root and one on each wingtip

  11. 20m tips - need white tool (kept in cockpit side pocket) to depress locking pin on wing tips
    the 20m tips have a tiny tab near aileron which must be located carefully in main aileron before pushing home tip be careful here

  12. Ballast there are some lead plates in front of trailer they go near front pilots right foot - I suggest we put one in permanent

  13. battery is in tail - we need to run a charging line out to tie-down - it came with charger
